I'm about to leave on a long driving trip, and plan on using my Treo 650 with a Bluetooth GPS and Mapopolis for Navigation.

I want to just leave it ON the whole time while I drive 6-8 hours each day.

Is that bad for the Treo 650 screen?

    Thanks in Advance,

Bump! I'll only do this once, promise.

Nobody has any thoughts on this? Does any other GPS user leave his screen ON for hours at a time.

    Cheers,

Are you worried about burn in? You should be fine.

Actually in rereading your post, perhaps not burn in but rather heat, or longevity? Still wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks. Longevity was my primary concern. I appreciate the feedback!

No problem. Anything is possible, and you could have a defective display, but todays TFT displays are pretty durable for day to day use. You'll long have bought a new device before the screen craps out.

LOL! Well, given my thing for new toys that almost goes without saying! But, I'm glad to read it here anyway.
