Hey everyone. I just purchased my first treo ever! and now I need to know what programs I just need to get. I know I want one that can play video/audio files, and is there a program that can get me movie times? And of course anything else thats must have would be very appreciated. Also, is there a better mail/browser program for treo than the one already installed? Thanks!

There has been alot threads on this subject, but, I would like to give you a few pointers to get you started.

Audio: Pocket Tunes Deluxe (stream shoutcast to your phone)
    White/Yellow Pages: Dir. Assistant

You know what, tell me more how your lifestyle goes and maybe I could come up with a few Ideas.

And again welcome to the club.

You see we could get you to point like this guy above. You just have to tell us how you intend to use it, and what your lifestyle is like. From there we can get you up running in no time flat.

I'm still waiting on my Treo but here's what goes on it when it gets here:

    Pocket Tunes -- audio
    Kinoma -- video
    Datebook5 -- PIM
    Dir Assist -- White/yellow pages
    ereader -- reading
    eWallet -- passwords & stuff
    PalmaryCalc - calculator
    Zlauncher -- program lancher
TreoGuard -- ringtone player/prevent key presses
    pssh -- secure shell
    movian vpn - vpn client
    HandRSS -- rss reader
    BackupbuddyVFS -- backups

    Possible additions

Snappermail -- mail client (if I don't like versamail)
Butler -- just not sure about this (may replace treoguard)

    Also
some type IM client - undecided yet (verichat?)
Some type of games (2 or 3)
    Mapopolis or TomTom - mapping

Everything installed on a sandisk 1gig card

    using a innopocket metal case

What do you have installed? Do you use an SD card? Have you erased the versamail and realplayer?
I have been testing agendus and agendus mail and I am purchasing it , and I own pocket tunes and I am not interested in moving to realplayer. Please advise.

on the subject of directory assistant, does anyone with graphics skills want to make a cool icon for the program? I spoke with the developer and he said he would add in the icon if someone made one...

    See icon requirements here: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showt...threadid=39601
