Maybe it is just these old ears, but I miss more calls because I often I can't hear the phone ringing. Have it set to what the PALM people say is the loudest tone but when it is in the case, it is not very loud.

Anybody have any luck with a loud ringtone that I can borrow for the next few years?

Someone told me it is a function of the amplifier and if you use anything louder, you can blow the amp? Beyond my limited knowledge.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

FWIW, I grab the freebie ringtones desired, then increase the volume myself, using a freeware app. PSMPlay for midi, and Audacity for mp3s.

You can use wav or mp3 ringtones. They are louder than most MIDI sounds.
If you have pocketTunes you even boost the sound. check out mp3Ringer www.toysoft.ca

I tried to download that PSMPlay 5.41 and my Sophos Virus scanner said it has a trojan horse virus.
I'm giving Audaicity a try and I'll look for an uninfected version of PSMPlay.
THanks for posting that, I've been looking for something to edit MIDI ring tones for a while.
