Hey guys. The new T5 (palmone) has some type of capability that allows it to be used as a usb flash drive. Apparently, it connects via the usb sync cable and will be recognized by the host pc as a typical flash drive.

Does anyone know where i could get a program like that for my Treo? It seems like something like that might exist. The program would allow the Treo to be connected via the sync cable, then files could be dragged and dropped to and from the Treo's sd card. This would eliminate the need to always have the sync software on the host computer. I guess carrying around a sync cable to do that would be a drag, but it seems like a program like that would serve a purpose for the most part.

Have anyone of you ever heard of something like that or think it could be useful?

I don't why palmone still choose to access PDA with stupid PIM Software instead using mass storage technology

    Expensive flash drive!

    How about an iPod Shuttle?

PabloTX has it right - See Card Export II - enables use of the Treo as a usb flash drive (works great on my Treo 600) for $15

So I guess the poll should also include "Currently use it for USB flash..."

How ar the write speeds when using this progrm...are they comparable to a dedicated usb flash drive?

Seems like expensive, clunky flash drive. Does that mean you have to tote around your sync cable? If this could be done via blue tooth it would seem reasonable. But my NEW choice for flash drive is this.

That is cool! Even 2 gigs. Now if it had built in WiFi we would be set

That would probably make me think twice about filing down my SD cards to better fit my Treo.
