I've been converting some DVDs and TV episodes to .avi files for playback in MMPlayer on my Treo 650 using Virtual Dub Mod. I've been resizing these video files to 320 x 160, 320 x 176, or 320 x 208. I'm using audio compression settings of 24 kBit/s, 16,000Hz, Mono or 20 kBit/s, 16,000 Hz, Mono. I'm using the Xvid codec and LAME MP3 encoder for sound. The problem is that after watching a movie or TV episode for 2-3 minutes, the audio goes out of sync with the video. I use MMPlayer to sync the audio up again, but a few minutes later the audio is out of whack again. This is really annoying. I don't want to have to keep using A/V Sync on MMPlayer to fix it every few minutes. What can I do so this doesn't happen? What audio encoding setting should I use? Are my video compression settings still too high for the 650 Processor? I wouldn't think they would be. Thanks in advance.
