I believe TreoGuard has a function to map a button for toggling Mute and Speakerphone.

I'm just wondering why they took it out in the first place. It was a nice feature on the 600.

They couldn't re-use the same code so they just left it out. Lazy. They would have to make the code recognize toggling between ear speaker, speaker phone, and Bluetooth headset.

Rather than re-code, they just dropped the feature. Oversight? Possibly, but I think they just ran out of time and wanted to get it released, so they went without it.
