    Hi all,

I need help from treo 650 owners:
I am trying to add auto-redial on busy to my TAKEphONE application,
but have a user reported that the Treo 650 does not detect the busy
signal, thus not showing the "Line is busy" dialog, nor reporting the busy
    detection to my application.

I want to verify this - anyone willing to help, please make a call from your
Treo 650 (using the built-in PHONE application) to a busy number,
and let me know if your Treo 650 pops up the dialog saying
"Line Busy" (suggesting a redial) ?

Anyone reporting - please state the type of device (GSM/CDMA) and network
    (Sprint ?)

    Thanks in advance !

Nope, no dialog -- the phone looks the same visually as when a call goes through successfully. (Audible busy tone is the only indication of reaching a busy line).

    Sprint, CDMA

Shimon, I have a cdma sprint treo650 and I can confirm what the other posters have mentioned. I do not get a note or pop-up when I have a busy signal.

    Thanks all,

I conclude that the device does not indeed detect/report the busy state.

I will add an option to define a "no answer timeout", so you can configure the application to:

"Auto-redial if busy OR no answer for X seconds"
