Please, no flames for this silly question, but it's been bothering me: I don't always plug my 650 into the car charger when I go somewhere. Is it safe to leave the charger part plugged into the lighter (indicator light turns on) without the 650 plugged into it? For now, I've been playing it safe and loosening it a bit until the light turns off...

I have always had a car charger plugged into my car for at least the last 10 years

Both my cars have chargers plugged in all the time. No problems. I wouldn't think you would run into any problems unless maybe you put the free end in your mouth when it wasnt in the phone.

I leave my charger plugged in, light green, 24 x 7, in my Tahoe. No problems that I know of, and I've been doing that same thing for years now....

Not only is it not a problem but it is the right thing to do. Pulling the plug in and out of the lighter socket causes wear and tear each time and will eventually degrade that connection. The other end is low voltage and safe. Just don't let it get shorted out (power and ground connected together by something.)

I'll second that.....not only cuz I agree, but also cuz I'm bored. LOL

Not only should you keep it plugged in...
It comes in handy as a defibulator.

And in the winter if you put the other end under your *** it works as a seat and body warmer.

Are you kidding? A Red Bull and one lick of the free end of the cord, and I'm ready to work for about 36 hours straight.
