There is no native MSN Messenger support for Palm devices. Your best bet is Verichat http://www.pdaapps.com/verichat/

yes you can use it through text messages if someone msn's you first. but a much better application is like djrickp says, Verichat. Had it 2 1/2 years and love it.

I am currently using Causerie Messenger (www.mantragroup.com) for my IM solution and I am loving it. Very easy to use, supports AIM, MSN, ICQ, and Yahoo (I think). I think it is a great way to use MSN Messenger on the 650. So far, I have not seen any bugs with it, it works fine on my 650. It also runs in the backround, which is very helpful.

Verichat is like using the real MSN Messenger. I can even send and receive files.

Causerie is also instantaneous. I was sitting next to me PC and watching the IM's come in and they came in at the exact same time as on my PC.

I've been trying Verichat the past few days and have a weird problem. It won't login to my MSN account. It does for my AIM account. It's not a password problem because if change the username or password it immediately back and tells me it's incorrect. Entering the correct one causes it to just go and wait forever never logging in. Logging in from my PowerBook works fine.

Anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm about to give up on Verichat.

They're just like any other vision app. When the data connection is active, the call goes to voicemail. When it's not active, it'll come through. Most wireless applications for the palm (except things like streaming shoutcast or something) don't use the data connection on a constant basis, so calls can come through when the connection is idle. Chat programs, in my experience, use the data connection more so than say Blazer, which typically downloads a page and then is idle while you read it. But I have had calls come through while I'm on Verichat -- it's just hit or miss. Not the apps' fault, just the nature of how Vision works.

You probably have no MSN buddy. Add one from the PC and you will be able to login to MSN thru Verichat.

I had this same problem yesterday and then literally just as I was typing up an email to their tech support, viola! it kicked in. I think it was a network thing. It has worked beautifully (like always) ever since.
    So just check yours again.
