Now, I'm not a complete moron, but for some reason, when I try to convert a DVD to play on the 650 with MMPlayer, the resulting movie files have no audio. Has anyone else experienced this? The audio appears to be fine on the PC.

Dumb answer, but is your "sounds off" switch slid over to off on the top of your 650?

Just trying to eliminate any stupid additional variables.
How would I have known that the other avi files had audio?

audio codec issue perhaps ? When you say other AVIs play fine, I assume you mean anything not ripped by PocketDVD.

I get full audio on mine.

Make sure that when you are encoding, you have a decent MP3 codec installed. I am not sure if PQDVD includes one or not, but I installed Lame MP3 (open source) on my laptop. I do know that Windows only has an MP3 Decoder, not an encoder built in.
