I recieved the 650 as an xmas gift from my GF on xmas eve. Signed up and within 12 hours, was up and running. Thanks to this group, I'm very happy with the 650 so far. I haven't applied the voice patch as people have said I sound fine so far, so until it's broken, I'm not messing with it. I have seen the delay (about 15-20 minutes) for SMS, but very, very happy with the Treo so far...although I'll still be applying some of the "mods" to improve it.

I am also very, very happy with my unit. I just received it yesterday, and after being told by the Sprint Activation person that I would not be able to use my phone for 72 hours, the phone was activated and Vision was provisioned within 7-8 hours. That made me happy. I'm just starting to customize my Treo and put some new apps on it, but as of now I am VERY happy with it!

It is a very nice device but it does like to reset! So slowly add 3rd party apps. Ones that worked well on the 600 may very well cause problems on the 650. Scan the compatibility list at the top of this forum for starters. You will also notice some very wierd behavior at times. Examples: phone not always powering up after a reset, BT headset volume is low, slow dialing, etc.... Many of these have workarounds. There are a few developers like myself that have written some applications to help the 650 be a more consistent platform. If you have time, look in the Developers Corner for custom applicaitons and solutions for the 650.

Happy Holidays and New Year to all and congratulations on your new Treo's!

It was just a funny quote I found on a site, but I changed it recently by request.

I think it meant that it is hilarious (priceless) when white people dress and act hiphop. I think African-Americans would agree. At least I hope that is what it meant.
