Great Product! I originally started using it to make my Treo 650 cycle views like my old Treo 270. But now I find it essential. I like the fact I can add one app to the list of views that the phone button cycles through (added Directory Assistance) and long button press for the phone app.

I would like two feature requests. The only annoying thing I have found is the favorites in TakephONE. I need a way to easily organize the favorites. The phone app allows me to drag and drop the favorites between pages and locations but it shows 7 per row instead of the five takephone shows. Its annoying trying to setup the pages of favorites. Also I would like to be able to assign a ringtone to a favorite without having to go back to the phone app.

    Keep up the great work!

    Thanks for your kind words.

With all those requests about the 7x2 arrangement, I guess I will have to do it eventually.

I will check about the ringtone thing, too.

Well, if that's the way... I would REALLY like TAKEphONE to be able to search the SD card for apps - as that would allow me to put Agendus on the card and free up more than a meg. Just thought I'd bring it public.

If you use LauncherX or ZLauncher to create a shortcut app for it, a card-bound copy of Agendus will be seen by TAKEphOne; but of course, being on the card, it would be unable to sound any alarms.

    Hi,

This is on my list of things to add, too (cause you requested it via email).

I also agree Agendus may not be a good candidate to be moved to the card - as well as the alarms thing, it is also a heavy application, and will take time to launch from a card...

    Hi all,

    Version 6.50 (080) posted at www.shsh.com/beta

    - Treo: auto-complete names for dialed numbers - ON by default.
    - Treo: Mute mic while playing DTMF (to eliminate
    background noise).
    - General: auto-format number when saving from call-log.
    - General: Added "Company" field when creating/saving a record.
    - Skins: Added skins management dialog (to allow erasing skins).
    - Capture (dialing): Added "capture" from "Notes" screen.
    - Misc. prefs: Added option to always treat email field as
email (so you can email non standard addresses).
    - Misc. prefs: Added option to send faxes using
    mail-to-fax services (e.g. "1234567@mail2fax.com").

    Thanks !

I have been having issues since build 80. The "xxx is not stored in contacts" dialog comes up even when the number is in my contacts. This problem is random, sometimes it happens and other times it does not.

    I checked Prefs/Applications and "Contacts-PAdd" is defined under edit/view.

    any thoughts?
    anyone else have this issue?

    Hi,

TAKEphONE does not display that dialog !!!
The built-in dialer displays it. Only change in TAKEphONE was to allow for the dialog to display on screen longer (before returning to TAKEPhONE).

Is there a way to get a "calls being forwarded" icon to show in the Find screen of Takephone, similar to what appears on the regular dial screen?
If a computer crashes in the forest and no one is on-site to download the error log, is the event documentable?

    Shimon,

I don't think this has been requested... but this thread is getting a bit large.

The call forwarding/filtering app called CallFilter for the Treo 600 has (or rather had, since development appears to have ceased and I have a Treo 650) a unique feature I can find nowhere else and it seems a good fit for TAKEphONE:

After a call is complete, CallFilter can be set to automatically prompt you to enter call notes which are then put into the contact's note field along with a time stamp. Very cool feature... unfortunately no one else does it - and I've looked. I haven't tried a beta of TAKEphONE since around b70 or so, but I don't think you have this in your feature set either.

If this one feature were in TAKEphONE, I'd buy it immediately to go along with 2Day and 4Cast (which are great!).

    Hi,

    I've been thinking about this...

One problem is - once I state "TAKEphONE support this CallFilter feature" - all CallFilter users will jump at me - "Please do this - CallFilter did", "Please do that - CallFilter did".....

I have it on my list of features to check.

Well I, for one, promise not to ask for the feature to attach the Crazy Frog or any other goofy ringtone to anything.

Phurth: Not sure if you've checked out Call Notes II by Handwave, but it offers the functionality you are asking for. The only mod I would like to see made to Call Notes II is the ability to enter the notes as the call is taking place.
  16. #276
actually forget my suggestion. I can see from another post, that you would want Call Notes to automatically pop up, after the call ends, which it does not. I would think Shimon could easily call up Call Notes instead of going back to TakePhone once a call is over, without much mod. But I'm not a developer.

    Hi,

I might be adding this to TAKEphONE or OutCall sometimes.
I am figuring out how would it be best implemented.

(for example - I would want to allow returning to TAKEphONE and/or 2day after a call)

Shimon, a note about OutCall - on my Sprint Treo 600. I installed and used OutCall for a couple of days and then uninstalled and did a soft reset. Well, the Treo still acts like OutCall is enabled - Callfilter is set to provide a "note" entry at the end of a call and though it displays, it is displayed for a "blink in the eye" time and then back to TakePhone.

    Hi,

    Nothing to do with OutCall.
This is probably because TAKEphONE is configured to "Return after calls".
Both CallFilter & TAKEphONE want to gain control after a call ends, and I guess TAKEphONE wins...

Shimon, it occurred only after installing OutCall. There have been no settings changed in TakePhone, it has always been set to return to TakePhone after a phone call, and the normal operation of going to the CallFilter screen to exercise the note option immediately after the termination of a phone call has been a routine operation since I started using CallFilter.
