Maybe i'm blind....but I cant seem to find the "Select Network" option in Takephone. I have to go back to the Treo Phone Application. Am I just missing it?

    No, you're not missing.
TAKEphONE is not meant to fully replace the built-in app. but to enhance it.

    Thank you.

That works good for calling he number, but what I really like with outcall is that it gives you the option of calling or save by adding the highlighted name and number to dial create. So if you copy a signature in an email

    scott britton
    555-555-5555

and paste that to memo, and then copy that and use outcall it gives you the option to dial or save. I would like the option to save by just pasting the same name and number into takephone. Is that possible? Maybe add the paste option to dial create? I hope that makes sense. Thanks again.

    Hi,

    New TAKEphONE version - 6.50 (078) - at www.shsh.com/beta

    - Treo: Added option to use/not use the "Add new contact" thing..

    - Treo: Added option to auto-complete names for dialed numbers (i.e. if you dial a number manually, TAKEphONE will try to match a name for it).

    - Treo: When trying to dial a number while on a call, you can now select to DTMF the original number, or the translated one.

    - General: Added option to jump directly to NOTE at the “Details” view.

    - General: “Paste” in the main screen is now handled like capture (OutCall), allowing saving the text copied from the clipboard as a contact, as well as dialing it.

    - General: Menu shortcuts: H==>History view, I==>Initiate SMS, M==>Locations & Telephony menu (allow selecting location before dialing).

    - General: If you have TeleTone installed, tapping the on-screen keypad sounds matching DTMF on speakers.

    Thanks !

I've been using Takephone for sometime now with my Kyocera 7135, Treo 600 and now 650. Like very much. I have a question on something that I've been trying to figure out with when using takephone with the Treo.

I don't setup takephone Find tab to display the onscreen phone keys. I mainly use the Treo keyboard to enter a letter to find a contact. The problem is that when I press on of the number keys (1-9) takephone tries to find a contact that starts with that number and not the letters (E,R,T,D,F,G,X,C,V) assigned to those keys. All other non-number keys work fine. I hope thats clear. Can anyone please tell me if there is an option to make this work? Thank-you.

    Hi,

Those keys should search for the letters. ONLY IF there are NO MATCHES for the letters you enter - they are converted to numbers.
This way you can both search & dial manually from the same screen.

    Shimon,

Will you still add my requested feature to the application? I'd like to be able to change the privacy settings (Hide, Mask, Show) from TAKEphONE.

    Thanks

Shimon, I'm using a Takephone/Teletone combination and your recent additions are great. One important thing though, the "M==>Locations & Telephony menu" only works if I am in the "Dial Create" screen. If you added this same option to the regular "speed dial" page (or all the other views as well), it would be of great benefit to me. That way (since this is the screen I always start on in Takephone) I can quickly switch "locations" right away. Does this make sense? Thanks for your recent changes and for considering this addition.

You are correct, it currently works only in FIND & Dial/Create screens.
I will try to add this to the SPEED view.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    And the race continues...

    - General: On screen buttons sound – fix for devices without the enhanced sound library (e.g. i500).

    - General: Added Menu+M (Locations & Telephony menu - allow selecting location before dialing) to all main screens (e.g. speed-dial, history).

    Thanks.

Shimon - Are there any bug fixes that might not be visible in the UI that you address in these updates? If so, can you list them with each release?

I am asking because my current set up is working nicely and some of the new features that you list dont matter to me. So if there are no bug fixes then I would stay on my current release. If there are bug fixes and you can list them then that would help drive me to new releases even if I dont care about the new features.

    Thanks

Some bug reports: I have a lot of contacts and when I start scrolling using the d-pad, takephone stops finding any more after about halfway through. Eg, I have more people than what scrolling will show you, but if I type in their names, i can see them.

When the color theme is changed (I've got it set to orange), the takephone screen sometimes displays a blue bar behind name of carrier (cingular) on the display.
    (I have latest takephone 650 (078)

    Hi,

TAKEphONE is limited to showing 100 records. This was done to save memory & speed, and bearing in mind - it was designed to FIND contacts, not browse them. Sorry...

Regarding the blue bar - you are right. I am thinking of a way to fix this...

    Thanks !
