    Hi,

Not much - it's just a "Preference" panel in stead of a standard application, so that it does not waste screen space on the "Applications" screen with an unneccesary icon.
(also some fixed for using it on the TT5).

Oh, and added option to use it with TAKEphONE assigned to Option+PHONE in stead of PHONE.

    Hi. I have a quick/stupid question.

I just received my VZW Treo 650 linked to my company's Outlook server through GoodLink. Is TAKEphONE compatible with the GoodLink Contacts or just the Palm-supplied Contacts files? All of my real information resides in the Good files, whereas my Palm Contacts only have 2 listings.

Sorry for the stupid question, but don't want to mess with too many things and find myself going to tech support with Treo-in-hand.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for your interest in TAKEphONE.

Afraid it handle the built-in contacts database, so it wont be good with GoodLink...

I just installed Beyond Contacts, does the same apply here? Is there anyway for the two apps to work together?

    - Treo: Does not return to TAKEphONE if/while the “Add New Contact” dialog is displayed (to allow saving new numbers/contacts after a call).

    Thanks.

    Shimon,

Works like a champ! Thank you so much! I just tested it and it worked perfectly. I can't imagine anyone owning a Treo and NOT having your program on their phone.

    Thanks again,

    Bob

Should outcall work with all apps? It works fine in memo, but not in other apps like Web.

    Hi,

It should work as long as you can highlight text (like to copy it).

The Web app has an internal way of handling things, so it might not work there.
However - isnt it supposed to dial anyway via Web when tapping ?

Mark me down as a very happy TakePhone user. Frankly, at first I did not see any need for the app as I was happy with the basic Treo 650 interface, but I thought the free trial was worth a shot. Well needless to say, I found TakePhone to be well worth the price. It simply makes using the phone app much more pleasant.

    Thanks

Thanks for the response. I guess that it the issue I am having. I don't always want to dial a number from a webpage, verichat, etc. Sometimes I just want to save them. I guess if the program has it's own internal way of handling the app then OutCall won't be able to handle it. I like the way that outcall prompts you. This would probably be difficult and cause more problems than it's worth but it would be nice if OutCall could handle apps that have their own internal processes.

Great program btw, In my opinion the Treo isn't a phone without takephone.

    Thanks.

The problem is Web & VersaMail use their own libraries for displaying text, and I cant seem to get access to it (at all).

thought so.. i have resorted to copying text from those apps and pasting it to memo. Then using outcall. Would it be possible to have outcall perform differently? Maybe have two functions. One like it does today and another to prompt on what you have copied in the palm buffer.

example.. you copy text in Web, Verichat, versamail, etc. Then when you hit a particular key combination it looks at the memory buffer and prompts you what to do, like outcall does today. Just a thought..

    Thanks.

How about this - I will add a "Paste" option to TAKEphONE's FIND screen, so you can just paste the number there.

I like that. That would take out the extra step of opening Memo. Thanks!
