    Hi Shimon,

    1) Any update on custom labels?

    2) One thing that causes me not to use TAKEphONE at times is the delay it has in registering key presses initially. If I click on the built in contacts app, I can immediatley start typing the name but with TAKEphONE, if I start typing immediatley, it will not register my first few key presses - so I end up with a name missing a few letters which doesn't work...

    3) I love the "find within fields" function but dislike having to use a space between first name and last name - is there any way to have the best of both - search within fields and also do first initial, last name without a space?

    Thanks

At the same time, I will eagerly await the labeling functionality to be added to the current version!

    Thanks.

    >>> Let me think about it some more.

Shimon - enjoy the holiday and time-off. You have created a marvelous piece of software for the Treo and have earned some time off. It will be nice not to have to worry about loading a new Beta version of your software for a week. Gives me a week off too!

    Hi all,

    New version - 6.50 (071) - posted at www.shsh.com/beta

    - Create/Edit: Fixed error in sorting contact records on devices with old PIM database format (e.g. i500, Treo 600 …)

    - Call log: When not in call, the menu option (shortcut-.) goes to built-in call-log (to allow purging, viewing call minutes total…)

    - Capturing: The capture “hack” – TkPhOs5Hk.prc – is replaced with OutCall.prc. It is a preferences panel, so it does not show in the main “Applications” (aka “Home” or “Launcher”) screen, and – also works on the Tungsten T5 (with button no. 3 assigned to TAKEphONE).

    Thanks !

Shimon - do we have to delete the TkPhOs5HK from our Treo 600's if we are to install this new version?
    Sprint Treo 600 (since October '03) --> PPC 6700 (exactly 29 days) --> Sprint Treo 600 --> Sprint Treo 700p --> BB Curve 8330.

    Hi,

It should be deleted automatically by OutCall.prc, but I guess if you want to be on the safe side - delete it.

    Thanks.

Does OutCall.prc enabled allow the standard phone app to dial, or just TAKEphONE? I prefer not to have TAKEphONE take over completely, even though I use it frequently, so I don't have the phone button set to bring up TAKEphONE. I'm sure that I am not alone in this. Perhaps there could be a way to make it work assigning TAKEphONE something like option-phone? I really miss the Kyocera 7135's ability to dial a selected phone number in another app simply by pressing a key.

    Hi,

The way this is implemented (with the OS-5 structure), it can only work if TAKEphONE is assigned to one of the hardware buttons.

I do plan on trying to make it using another technique, so it might be better in future version.

    Thanks

    Hi,

If you re-download build 071, it has a newer version of OutCall, that enables you to assign Option+PHONE to TAKEphONE, and use that combination to capture.

    Simom -

In build 71 you added "Call log: When not in call, the menu option (shortcut-.) goes to built-in call-log (to allow purging, viewing call minutes total…)." Brilliant enhancement. Just what I wanted.

Has the 'Phone' application always been there? This is really nice too!

    Thanks.

It was there, just not called by name...

    Shimon,

What do I have to set (and where) to use this properly? I'm having difficulty figuring this out.

    Hi,

    I guess you mean using Options+PHONE ?

In the system "Prefs" application - in the "Buttons" tab, assign the Option+PHONE button to TAKEphONE.

Then go to my "OutCall" tab (there), and enable.

Now - highlight a number anywhere, press Options button together with PHONE, and it's captured.

It's not working for me. (VZW Treo 650). What needs to be set within TAKEphONE that I might not have set?

    Hi,

When you press Option+PHONE, does it launch TAKEphONE ?
