would be nice to use the gmail interface with access to contacts, archives and so on - anybody tried this one? does it work on the 650's browser?

sorry, was probably a dummy question: but what is really bothering me:

there's no way to access the html version of gmail with the 650?

No, gmail is heavily dependent on stylesheets and Javascript to do almost all its bells and whistles. You have to use external programs which cut down the gmail interface into something digestable by "simple" browsers. For the most part, it's largely unnecessary at this point except to search archived items.

    Try This:

    www.theplaceforitall.com/gmail-lite/main.php

BTW - I got the link from a great Treo Portal site:

    www.treomobile.com

    dmg

I would not use gmail-lite that is running on someone else's sever, unless you really trust them. Your username/password are passed plain text and show up in the log files.

I do have a copy of this running on my server and it works ok. I prefer to just use the pop access to gmail though.

Not really needed anymore now that Gmail supports basic HTML so you can access it from Blazer directly.
