His suggestions have always been helpful though. I think he might have a hack installed that does this. I doubt he is making it up.

I am surprised no one mentioned Butler. I actually just loaded it and I love the option of using the side buttons. The only problem I have had with it is that I mapped the side button to my notes app. I was on a call and tried to go to the notes app... it selected the disconnect button and bye bye! If you tell Butler to use the side button as select, you have to use the Option key + side button the get the app mapped to the side button.

You can create a "tab" with the keyboard by tapping either "shift" key and then the "space bar". Actually you can hold or Tap the shift key and then a upward arrow will appear in the lower right corner. When it appears, press the space bar to create a tab.

My comments about the side button was attributed to Butler. I hadn't realized what enabling the function did when I activated.

    Option + Right Shift key
will toggle the screen for bright to dark or vice versa. Mainly used when the screen brightness is at the highest brightness level. Option + Right Shift key is the equivilent the doing the Option + P combination and then sliding the brightness bar mid way to the left. Option + Right Shift key is obviously less steps and quicker the Option + P.

I just noticed that you can edit pictures. When the picture is displayed in Media, press the menu key and the option is there.

Which version of Treo do you have? I have a GSM Treo with firmware 1.15, no edit function. I can draw on a picture or edit details, but that's it.

Adding some more: If the accented character is in the middle of a word, instead of pressing hte space bar you just type the following letter and they will both appear in the text.

This belongs in it's own thread. This is not a trick that the Treo does nor is it even a tip. You will problay get more bites if you search first then post.
