just push the center button once... scroll to the task you would like to edit... push the five way to the right until you are on details... push the center button.

    Works fine.
I just tried this, and deleted two tasks that I wanted to keep! I pushed the center button once, scrolled to the task I wanted to edit, but if I push the five-way to the right, it goes to the due date. If I push back to the left, it goes to priority. If I click when at the left, it deletes the task, if I click when it's at the right, it brings up a menu to pick a new due date. No matter what I press, it does not highlight the task to edit it. What am I doing wrong?

You've got to push the 5way-right two more times to highlight the Details button.

Note that Longstrider said to "push the five way to the right until you are on details..."

Something I came across today that I hadnt used before...

While on a contact in the favorite list, if you hit the space bar it will display the other phone numbers for that contact. Probally something everyone already knew but it was new to me!
  6. #306
    Wow! Thanks, that's so neat!

I wasn't putting many contacts in there, just because some, I call their home or their mobile #. I figured if I'm searching through my favorites, might as well keep it clean and search through my contacts. Now I don't have to!

    Thanks again!

I certainly didn't know that. Thanks, usulsuspct!

Maybe now, I'll be more likely to use my favorites for calls instead of just for applications.

That's a good tip... I forgot all about it.

    Another Favourites Tip:
    Go to [Phone]->[Menu]->[Edit Favorites Pages]

There you can drag the items to the location you want with the stylus.
(i.e. you can re-order the buttons)

    Beautiful.

I just rearranged'em. Man, I wish I'd known this stuff a year, ago, but I really appreciate it.
    Thanks!

For real. I'm in heaven over here.

Although I usually wish I knew these things sooner, nifty tips like this make me feel like I've got a brand new toy.

I do now that I've read several posts in this newly-merged thread.

Mods: My subscription to the newer thread died post-merge. The link I got in my mailbox failed, too. I figured it might be a merge, so I checked this thread.

    Just FYI.

Someone asked about going forward a page in Blazer (backspace takes you back): N key takes you forward.

just found out (I hope it wasn't already posted, I re-skimmed the thread pretty fast).

you don't have to "unlock" the keygard to dial 911. Just wake your treo (with any of the 4 buttons - call/calendar/messaging/power) and dial 911, it will unlock the keygard and bring you to the dial pad with 911 already entered so you just hit DIAL.

I'll add this one, b/c I don't see it on here yet and it took me a while to figure it out on my own. In 650's default Contacts area, where you have a list of all your contacts you can type just the beginning of one's name and/or their initials to jump right to them.

So if you have a Smith, John in your book you can type any of the following:

    smi (first of last name)
    joh (first of first name)
    jsjsjs ($initials$)
    sj (initials, but backwards)

    -or even-

jsmi (first initial, then last name)

Pretty awesome when you get considerable contacts.

When in Bookmarks view in Blazer, spacebar brings up the same box as Menu | G, which is Go to Web Page.
