Check this out. My wife has been in bed sick all day. She has not been able to sleep because of the awful construction going on in our apartment building (so she thought).

It turns out that I received a call on my Treo 650 early this morning. My treo was on vibration mode. My treo was also charging on a little ledge conected to my bed. My Treo apparantly froze up in vibration mode when it received this call. It has been vibrating in pulse mode for the last SIX HOURS.

I guess after laying in bed with a Treo 650 vibrating (please no sexual jokes) for six hours straight it can start to feel like a jack hammer.

The punch line is that she said to me upon discovering this- "Why did that happen? It never happened to your other phone (Treo 600)? ha ha

So I took my phone and slid off the battery cover (which like many others have done- it is rigged with an extra piece of velcro on the inside to keep the cover from wiggeling and squeeking) and I reset my phone. I then said to my self as I have said at least a hundred times in the past three weeks "Why does this happen to my 650 it never happened to my 600?

Is there no limit to the problems this little inferior electronic gadget with the bedazeling screen can cause? Let's face it- if it wasn't for the screen (AND ONLY THE SCREEN) how many people would keep the 650?

I think we have to realize that a number of things have changed since the Treo 600. Whenever you change one thing, you risk regressions in other areas. I'm at the point where I don't think we should think of the Treo 650 as better, but just different. Sad as it may seem.

This actually happened to my 600 all the time, but has yet to happen with my 650. I would say that the 600 was much more inferior than the 650.

I'd agree with TonyTag if it weren't for this thread:

I don't know of anyone having trouble with auto-sync on the Treo 600. Considering that e-mail is the biggest thing that PalmOne is focusing on with this, it seems really odd.

I have to admit, I'm puzzled. Why didn't P1 just put out a Treo 600 with Bluetooth and the nicer screen and call it the 650?
