I'm upgrading to 650 from Samsung I330...it had an edge of rubber on both sides that added just the right amount of grippiness in holding the slim body.
That Treo is shiny and slippery and I think it's going to fly out of my hands into space if I don't have a better grip on it...I've seen self adhesive rubbery
grip strips customized for the 600. Any one have a favorite add on for this purpose....even a generic rubbery self adhesive strip along both edges might work nicely
    Thanks in advance

the only problem with egrips as i see it is this from their faq:

    How long will egrips™ last?

With normal use, egrips™ should last for 3-6 months. egrips™ are made of an extremely aggressive material that grips to almost anything it contacts. Sliding your device, with egrips™ applied, in and out of tight fitting holsters, cases, chargers or pockets will cause your egrips™ to wear faster.

i'm supposed to shell out just under sixteen bucks (egrip + shipping) every three months, or in other words up to $64 a year for these things? even best case, $32 a year? no thanks. i'll use a regular case.

Some retailers carry egrips. I know RadioShack carries them, and I think I've seen them at Best Buy as well. A good way to get around the shipping charges Anastrophe.

I got my egrips from radioshack the other day (silver color for $9.99). They're not specifically designed for the 650, but they come in a variety pack (different shapes and sizes). I picked out a few and strategically placed them on the back and sides of the Treo. Worked out great.

I was listening to the "Hugh Hewitt" show one evening and he relayed a story about how he dropped his day old Treo 600 INTO THE TOILET resulting in it's demise. He was discussing the morality of having it replaced through Sprint's insurance policy...I've got to have e-grips, those edges are just too smooth. Plus I never use a case. My Samsung (now TREO 650 ) is always in the shirt pocket.
    Thanks for links guys

I've been in contact with the company, they said on 11/20 that the new Treo 650 will be available to ship within 3 weeks.

I use the heck outta my 600, and the egrips I have have lasted a heck of a lot longer than 3 to 6 months. It might also depend on if you use any kind of case at all. I use the ProClips holter with mine, and the combo works great. very long-lasting. Tastes great as well.
