    Hello All

Im back to the drawing board as the excellent eBay portal at:
    http://www.hitmenow.com/ebay/mobile.hmn
seems to be non-operational (for the last 3 weeks anyways). Does anyone have a link or info on a FAST and sleek way of accessing eBay from the T600?
I tried the 'skeezer' thing but for eBay searches its next to useless.

Accessing eBay (my business) is the main use for my T600 and so I really need a way to do this. Abidia is great for tracking auctions but not for searching. Any ideas? Thanks guys.
Click for Free iPod Nano or better. - really works!

    Hi
It does LOAD fine but try doing a search for something. You will receive an error. On the very odd occasion it goes thru but I estimate it to be around 1 in 10.

I have been using http://wap.ebay.com for couple of years on my Treo since I have a bad habit of buying things from work lol. Works great and never have a problem.

DOH! You're absolutely right. Sorry, I totally missed that.

Anyway, that really sucks. Abidia is nice and all but I don't really want to pay to access ebay on my Treo. I recall some discussions a while back of users using Reqwireless Webviewer browser to access the full ebay site. Many users were saying that it worked quite well and was much better than the wap site. I'll do some searching and post more here later...

The wap site is fine. I bid and sell stuff on it all the time. I work on the ambulance so when we have some down time it is great.

Not really. Try doing a simple search for an item. Its a 5-7 step process before you actually see a bidding price. The 'hitmenow' site was awesome in respect that it was a one step search that returned numerous hits along with their bidding price.

Thanks to all for trying to help me with this. Much appreciated.

    I will keep looking also.

    P.S.
Any idea on how he did this?

Easy solution would be for me to host a similiar tool on my server. Any ideas?

I think you have to sign up to Ebay's developer program. Some tools are free, others are not.

Hey guys, I think I found a cool solution. Try using Skweezer proxy to view full Ebay.com

    http://www.skweezer.net/

It works quite well on the Treo and is very fast as well!!

    http://www.skweezer.net/s.aspx/2/hub.ebay.com/buy

This seems like a good solution, however some may have reservations about going through a proxy to make bids etc...

I noticed that the Skweezer site is not a secure site (https) for logging in with your password.

Any other ideas for accessing EBay from the Treo via secure socket?

I've been inspired to continue development on the search (which works now BTW) to include viewing items and placing bids.

What information would like to see on a item page? I'd like to get one screen to show the item details with a field at the top to place a bid. Just want to keep it as thin as possible...

    Dune,

Glad to see the site is back up, any chance to be able to get completed auctions as an option? Or is there a charge from ebay to have that?

    Thanks.
