I'm gonna try it in the sim, but at this point the sim is not showing us the same thing as the real tests in the field with the card... Makes it really hard for me or euroclie to know what really fixing it...

FWIW the name you chose when you save the file on your PC is not important (i.e. you can rename it as you like), the actual database name is stored inside the file.

(you can try this: take any .prc file on your PC, rename it using Window's explorer, then copy it on the card on your PDA. Using a PalmOS file manager like FileZ, move the file in RAM, then back on the card, you'll see that the file name has changed back to the name which is included in the database header (first 32 bytes of the database). )

For those of you who would like to try and duplicate ls3mach's results, use this install file. I removed the space consuming overlays for other languages and the incorrect wifipanel prc...

Edeab It rejected the .exe file as an illegal attachment so I only sent the prc. file and resent the email. It was not rejected.

Did you do anything with the .bin files in the tapwave files? I downloaded the socket sdio power file and installed all of the tapwave files except the .bin files (looks like the firmware update) but is still get nothing.

Oh, never knew that. Cool! Man, these developers are smart .

Ya know, I actually noticed that when I was trying out "PRCExplorer" for Windows. That program is pretty cool...I was trying to figure out what files Blazer 4.0 uses . I found out the file I'm missing is the one that like has the graphical stuff...

Let's just hope we get this WiFi card working .

Oh yea, I'll be uploading isoon...when I get the file .

I downloaded EVERY file in the Socket .exe file and went through and I installed every file from socket. I am not smart, so I just do bulk stuff follow all of the gifted people here. I then installed on the tapwave website every file. those are the only two programs and it powers the card gives the network acquired message.

Guys, I'm out of this one. this thread is moving way to fast, and not in a scientific manor at all for testing now. Let me know if you get it...

For clarification, this is the reason I originally was not going to post trial test files except to one person. This is out of hand now.

(Edit: Don't worry, I'll be back, just let me think...)
(edit2: I'm going to just update this post until I have some real news again... See how many people are paying attention! I'm going to head to CompUSA and see if I can find myself a wifi card. It's just not working anymore with everyone posting about random ideas on what files to dump in next. Furthermore, I'm at the point where the simulator no longer shows me any difference between a reset of the device, and a lack of a SD card... Thus, it's time for me to get one myself.)

I've found this file (in the DSIO barcode scanner support page, and it mentions Treo 600/650 support), is it the file you're refering to?

Shadowmite - Thanks for your efforts. Please don't step too far away - if another wall is hit, it will be time to take a step back and start moving forward again in a more structured manner.
