hmm, that's true. If that is true, that means I could install it on my T|T3 and use the much cheaper Sandisk WiFi card .

Here's what is supposed to happen:

    1) Insert WiFi card. You hear the regular confirmation sound that an SD card has been inserted. NO LIGHT IS ON on the WiFi card.

    2) Go to Prefs > WiFi. Switch to ON. It should start searching for WiFi networks to connect. If it does connect, the light on the WiFi card will stay a solid GREEN. You should be able to see the signal strength.

    Boom, all done.

If you go through the WiFi Setup Wizard...

    1) It will initialize the WiFi card, making it blink fast for 1 sec.

    2) It will search for networks and tell you what is available

    3) Then it shall connect.

It's so easy, anyone can do it. If you want screenshots of everything, tell me.

Mine does that, I just cant get connected.

ls3mach, could you look in FileZ on your Treo 650 for: SlotDriver: SDIO-sdsd

I looked in what you copied and pasted and I didn't see it...

I find only stuff from the P1 driver (I've trimmed the quote to keep only those files) plus the databases created by the drivers. I note that the only stuff missing when compared to the original driver file set is the Fake Net Library, and also you have the uncomplete Pm Net Library. I'll PM you a link to the correct (full) version, but for now you still won't be able to install it due to the big resource...

Notice how I have 2 different MAC addresses on there. The top one corresponds to the phone. I checked it in the info thing on the wifi screen.

I'm still interested in the lack of the SlotDriver: SDIO-sdsd file...

If need be, I could go out a buy a wifi card for my 650 and join in testing. Just let me know if you need more help and if so, which wifi card to buy.

Yea, it's not included with the WiFi driver, but, ah we'll see.

ls3mach, how long do you stay connected to the router? (hehe, is that the DI-624?)

OK, ls3mach, before changing anything, can you install a Backup program that works with the 650 (I know there's been a thread about this, though I didn't follow it and can't recommand any that works). That way you can keep an "image" of your device in an almost-working state, in case further evolutions of the situation brings you backward, and also maybe you can email that backup to other testers so that they can restore it on their 650 to have as similar a configuration as yours.

Also, you didn't answer one question in a previous message (yes, I know, too many messages, too fast, it all gets confusing! ) do you think that at some point in time, there's a chance that the Wifi Config utility or something else could have finaly run and updated your Wifi card firmware?

I'm sure they need all the help they need. Here's the card you need to buy:

Regarding this problem with the file that won't hotsync over, can't you copy it to the card, grab a demo of SnapperMail, attach it to an outgoing msg, and then click on "Save" to get it into RAM? I've done that before when simply copying from Filez wouldn't work...
