I just bought a pair of Sony MDR-NC11 headphones. They work when I connect to my computer. But when I connect to the adapter of the 600, the sound on the 600 doesn't mute and I hear nothing in the headphones. Yes, the adapter is OK because other headphones work in it.

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

    Thanks

I have the same headset and same problem. You need enough resistance to make treo think that you have a headphone. Many threads on this subject. The advice is to buy a radioshack adapter. See thread below:

Funny, my Sony MDR-NC11's play without needing the extra volume control. Might be due to it being a CDMA Treo.

I have the same problem. This has to do with the impdedence sensing circuit.

I made up an adapter with resistors but you should also be able to use the the Freedom utility from toysoft.ca to use
