Recently, an executive from P1 explained why the Treo 650
was not "state of the art" -- the answer was that the focus
will always be on "ease of use".

There are two problems with this: (1) judging from the
problems 650 users are having, P1 has not achieved their
goal, and (2) "ease of use" was solved by Jeff Hawkins with
the original Palm.

With the "ease of use" mantra in mind, I am trying to
figure out why the Treo 650 even exists! It is not easier
to use than the Treo 600 -- many will say it has made
life very difficult.

This "ease of use" statement is a RED HERRING .. it is
an excuse not to deliver revolutionary products!

P1: if you're not going to lead, get out of the way!
