Do you have to pay an activation fee to get the 650 going (coming from a 600)?

I remember last year people had mixed results. They tried to get me to pay but I reminded them I'm not under contract and can leave at anytime, and they waived it.

How has the experience been this time around?

I have never paid for an activation when switching phones but it's usually because i talk them out of it when i tell them how long I have been a customer.

No, there is no charge for ESN swaps anymore. If so, I'd be in the poor house right now (well I actually am but that's an entire other matter).

If I remember right, Sprint quit charging for this a couple of years ago. At least they have never tried to charge me for switching phones.
