This shows that the case unfortunately hides the Treo's indicator light...

You can charge with the case on
    http://www.tanster.com/pix/624-8/10.jpg

And you can sync with the case on
    http://www.tanster.com/pix/628-8/11.jpg

    Pros:
playthrough case; clear plastic covers screen and keyboard, but can easily play through
    protects the camera lens
can sync and charge with case on
cheap -- Buy It Now price is $8.49!

    Cons:
    completely hides indicator light
doesn't quite cover the entire camera lens (see pic above)
nubby thing that the clip attaches to adds extra thickness
covers up the physical beauty of Treo

    Where to buy:
    Dan's Cellular Accessories on eBay

    Conclusion:
I needed a cheap case fast, and this definitely fit the bill! But if Krusell comes out with a Classic case similar to the one they offer for the Treo 600, I would definitely go for that!

Hey excellent, thanks for the pics! Not bad...a little cheap looking perhaps. The absence of a little hole for the indicator LED should be easily fixed with a leather-hole-puncher-thingy. I'm actually hoping that Bellagio will also release its non-flip cover case for the 650....

I agree with you, it's definitely not the prettiest looking case....

    Thanks!
I was using the 600 OEM version of this and have grown quite used to it. I was hoping that the clip was removable (as it is on the 600 cersion - leaving that little stud thingy on the back of the case)...I don't use a belt clip, but I've mounted the clip portion on the dashboard of my car and it's great for me to clip the Treo to my dashboard while driving.

because of what my mom taught me, I am not saying anything at all.

I can't stand that clear plastic cover for the screen. I have one on my iPod and it gets cruddy really fast - ruins the look of the 650 if you ask me. Apart from that it doesn't look too bad.

    Thanks for the review.

Hadn't looked at that Krusell yet...and true, compared to the Krusell this thing is fugly. But hey, for that price it will get me by. Got one on the way from Dan's since Friday, went for the case/car charger combo. That dude has some seriously competitive prices!

Agreed although it does prevent scratches (of course a screen protector would as well). Also, the glare is terrible with the 600 case outdoors and is probably the same as this one. Nice to see they made the audio jack hole bigger however...

awesterink, yup, I got that very same combo. Definitely can't beat the price!

I wonder if this is the exact same case that P1 sells on its site? -- the pictures look similar....

    You're welcome, GeekyMom!

If you are interested in flip cases, Santa8Claws has posted a nice set of links here.

That's a terrific price for that case!

P1 sells the exact same thing for $30 and TreoCentral sells it for $25, I know, cos I bought one.

I may order another as a spare!

BTW, hiding that too brite flashing indicator light is a real PLUS in my book! (still visible under the edge of the leather).

Is it just me, I can't stand the form fit case.
The one Dan shipped me either covers the last column of buttons on the left or right side.
It always was off center, and it made using the keyboard to me more difficult.
And due to the cdma bulge you have to apply more pressure to the top portion of the screen. I immeadiately went and got my old side fit case back.

All valid comments in my experience as well. It certainly is not the best solution for using the touchscreen, and the keys being partially obscured is sometimes a pain. I'm just hoping that over time it stretches a bit to help in these areas.

However, for the price Dan's is getting for it, I can't complain. If I had paid P1's price, I would have returned it immediately.

What I really want is a Treo SportCase (or something similar) in black...

I forgot to add that even more of a problem for me is the fact that the belt clip makes the case hang way out in space. It's always seems to be getting in the way.

Yes, I forgot to mention that as well. It was constantly getting hung up on something

In the mean time I got my hands on this case as well. Overall not bad, but hated the fact that the top section is not up high enough, partially covering the screen, and making the plastic cover sit too far off the screen. I took the knife to it. Cut out the entire screen section of the plastic, and am using a Boxwave Crystal-Clear screen protector instead. Also cut out a half-circle of leather to expose the LED. MUCH better!

Sounds nice, awesterink! Would love to see photos of your modifications -- maybe you will motivate me to punch out my own LED hole....

Just checked the Krusell site -- still no sign of a 650 case.... *sigh*
