I have restored my address and contact databases from BackupMan.
My computer with syncing software was nuked between Treos.
My question.. i dont know which will restore my categories

I only have Business, Personal and Unfiled right now and i REALLY dont want to go thru my contacts putting them into categories again.

Does anyone know the name of the file.

When i try to run a Backup i keep getting:

    System backup FAILED
There is not enough space left on the volume. (02x2A0F)

When i go to info on the card it says

    Card Total: 999040 KB
    Card Free: 306080 KB
    Memory Used: 4190672 KB

You can fit approximately 0 backups on this card.

    What gives?

Restoring info from the card from my Treo 600s backup worked fine
I can also write images and movies to the card with no issues.

Tealbackup seems to work for me. The only issue I heard of with this is everytime you reset phone you need to redo scheduler in Tealbackup. Give it a shot.

Here is my experience with Backupman v1.45 on the 650:

I would get memory errors when it tired to do its backup even though it said it could fit 143 backups on the card, would stop at anywhere from 30-50% complete. I just had it try again and it made it through. However, sometimes I get another error that the a certain databse is open and it aborts at about 10% complete. I do a soft reset and this fixes the problem, makes it though 100%. Now, I haven't tried restoring anything yet so that will be my next step.

Wow, I don't get it. BM works flawlessly on my 650. Backups, full restores, partial restores.

What version are you using? Do you backup with radio on or off?

Did you do fresh installs of all your apps onto the Treo 650 or did you restore the apps from a backup? At this point in time BackupMan should not be relied on. Palm needs to issue an update of the OS to change memory usage ASAP. This is ridiculous - all Palm had to do was get HTC to build a Treo 600 updated with 64 or 128 MB "normal" RAM, better camera and Bluetooth and we would all have been happy. Yet still they managed to screw things up.

Silverado - I am using version 1.45 and I have tried it with the radio on.

The Chup - Yes, I did fresh installs. The only files I copied over from my 600 were actual data files, i.e. the data files for BugMe, SplashID, CheckIt.

Some of the stuff I've read sounds like restores of individual files works fine, but full restore doesn't.

Backupman works fine for me also.

I did...does not work...gives that "not enough memory" message...I wonder if it depends on the brand/type of sd card....I have a 512mb Sandisk card FYI
