I want to see just how much of an improvement the new 650 camera is. Please take a pic in low indoor light also.

There are some threads of people posting picture comparisons from the Treo 600 and the Treo 650.
  3.    #3
Can you please tell me wich thread it is? I did a search and read all the thread header since yesterday, and I can't seem to find this.

I was hoping that I could get away without having to search myself. However, it's a great thread and I would hate for any Treocentral user interested in the Treo 650 to miss it.

I attended the DC Road Show today with the primary intention of testing the camera. I found it to be a wonderful improvement!

Pictures are crisp and we were in low light in the conference room. We actually took two pics, one with the 650 and another with the 600 we all were impressed with the improvement.

Aside from that it does really good quality video. I tried to email the pic to myself but the 650 was not set up to send picture mail. Another nice new feature is the voice memo for picture mail plus the zoom.

These pics look as if they were taken indoors and I would say that they are 100% better than my T600 takes.

Yeah, they are OK for lowlight, no flash and low res.

Actually that all-in-one printer is the weatherproof outdoor version, that picture was taken outside in bright sunlight?

Sorry had to joke around about that... the T650 camera rocks. I mean who the heck really needs a megapixel camera in their phone?

Then again I'm a technologically unadvanced Canadian eh?

Bumping. Come on you lucky new T650 owners. Post some comparison shots of your 650 vs the 600 (assuming you have the latter). With great privelege comes great responsibility.

Yikes, those pictures are practically useless. And that is an improvement over the T600? I mostly take pictures of text, etc while at conferences (posters and such) similar to these examples. I would not be able to read any of them.

How about more pictures from the real T650 units...not the optimized ones from the roadshows. Thanks.

Yes, this is a HUGE improvement from the 650 considering that they are taken indoors. Taking pictures of text sounds like it should be the job of a real camera.

Maybe you need a real camera if your job is photographing posters and text. These examples are obviously of small text in a dark room if you couldn't figure that out.

Yeah, but what about pictures from real users with real end-user models?

I can usually get by snapping pictures of posters and text with a 1 mp pocket camera. All poster sessions are inside, in poorly lit rooms, and usually not as close up as the ones posted here.

Can someone snap a picture of a poster or painting on a wall inside their home, please?

I was sitting near the front on the end center isle seat. (Gorgeous black woman sporting tan cargo pants spending much time IM'ing and beaming programs to other TC'ers.) -lol
