    P.S. My 600 *is* actually having problems keeping locked on a signal to dial even when all the bars are lit up. So I do need a replacement, but if I could get a free upgrade to the 650, that would be a nice bonus.

    I had this same problem. Called SPCS CSR, talked to three people before getting to a tier 2 tech who knew the Treo 600. We went through the routine, he couldn't "see" my phone on the network and advised to go to SPCS store. I did, brand new Treo 600, store would not upgrade to Treo 650...until I turned on the new (not refurbed) 600 and saw a solid vertical green line down the dial pad and apps launcher. I called SPCS CSR again, expalined the problem and 48 hours later, I received my 650 after they offered to upgrade. I've had 4 600's and he (SPCS CSR) could tell by the ESN changes.

    Persitence, patience and you're documented problems should help you in your efforts.

    Yes, it was under the 1 year warranty--according to their system.
