    I just called P1. My order that was placed 10/8 at 3:30 PM EST still is backordered, but the CSR said it should ship by noon today and I should get an e-mail updating me by then and the 650 tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I need to ship my 600 tomorrow to an e-bay buyer.

    So I placed my Treo 650 order first thing on the 8th and it still said back ordered as of today, the 22nd. I called up the customer service and they basically said, oh yeah, all those people who ordered on the 8th had problems with their orders. The guy went ahead and forward my order to his manager to get it streamlined through to shipping. I guess it wouldn't have gone out soon if I hadn't called so anyone who placed an order on the 8th, CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was a 5 minute call and the guy totally knew the problem and said he fixed it so my order will go out. Pretty sad all the people who order early actually get bumped down the list unless you call.

    On the phone now. If you're serious, this is the biggest piece of sh^t I've ever experienced with this company. How do you let this happen? I TRULY wish there was a Sony smartphone that I could order right NOW!!! Heck, I might even take a look at those brick-like PPC phones if this doesn't get straightened out. Frustrated...

    FYI. I ordered late in the day on 11/8 and just received a confirmation email that my 650 was being shipped overnight express. I didn't call into customer service. Hopefully all of the early pre-orders will be getting their shipping confirmations this morning!

    I told them about Grant's suggestion. The CSR checked upstairs, and said that there was no problem, and that it should ship today, but that she can't guarantee it. No explanation at all for why orders placed after the 8th have already been processed. They're testing my patience.

    Is this the first you've head from them since placing the order? Did your status page show BO until this morning?

    I heard the same thing. That there is no problem with the orders, and that all orders from the 8th will ship out today. He did mention that he had heard some rumour about problems with orders on the 8th but that it was not substantiated. Either way, why would they ship out some of the free headsets with cetain orders and not with others? When I asked him this, he said that they wanted to ship out the whole order together. Anyway you look at it....something isn't right. This whole deal about there being 2 order systems, doesn't explain why they would decide to ship some of the free headsets without shipping others. I guess we'll see...

    I have called twice and I give them my order number and they simply say one thing...back order. They act as if they have no other "level" they can go. What are you guys doing differently?

    I got a FedEx tracking number from P1 on Saturday, but the FedEx website does not have the number in the system. Also, upon calling FedEx to track a package, the number doesn't seem to be in that system, either. They're probably hitting the same system, but you would think by 11EST Monday *something* would be in the system, right?!
