I smell a rat. Why in the world would anyone pay over 3x the full price of a NEW unit???? Interesting that the seller has 0 feedback. Possibly the buyer and seller are the same person and he is trying to falsely drive up value for tax or resale or depreciation purposes?

If you look at his feedback, the winning bidder of the current auction has also "won" a previous acution for the same thing at the same price. 100 bucks says it's the sellers buddy or the seller himself (with an alt account) running the price up.

Questionable sellers do this on ebay all the time, especially around christmas, in hopes that someone will see one final hot item (tickle me elmo for instance) at the last minute and say "oh my god, I'm so lucky there's still one left" and pay whatever they have to to get it. However it's not commonly such an outragous price difference. I have trouble beleiving that anyone who's considering getting a treo600 would not have a basic idea of what the price should be though.

Yeah. Come on. That's gotta be it. Wonder why he didn't hide the auction. Doesn't eBay let you mark an auction private?

    That's so wrong.

When the dark clouds gather on the horizon, when thunder and lightning fills the sky, When fate is but a glint in the eye of a fallen Rattler, And hopes are lost friends, When the sinew of the chest grows weary from those hard-charging linebackers, And the muscles in the legs grow tired from those hard-charging running backs ... You must remember that the Rattlers will... Strike, Strike, and Strike again.
