I'm hoping to have my Treo 650 in the next week or so. As a brand new Treo owner, can any of you long-time treo owners provide suggestions on what are "must have" accessories after buying the 650? I'd like to buy almost everything all at once rather than piecemeal it together over several months, so if you experienced users could share your opinions on what is a must have and needed most or just incredible to have, I'd really appreciate it. Mostly:

    - software
    - which memory expansion card

However, if you have comments also on a case and headset, those would be appreciated too.

    Thanks in advance

1GB Ultra II SD Card (must have)
    Covertec pouch case
Bluetooth USB adapter if your computer doesn't have it built in

The software will be a little more difficult to recommend, only because it is not immediately clear what kind of conflicts there will be with the new memory config. These issues will be resolved... but I don't want to lead you to some software that you may have to wait for a patch to use properly.

    Cheers!

I would say the Treo 650 is a "must-have Accessory"

    Must have software:

    - Agendus
    - Snappermail
    - Verichat (or Chatter) (something IM)
    - PDANet (when the 650 version comes out)
    - Directory Assistance
    - Documents To Go

There are others, but those are the main ones.

    - screen protectors, there is no feeling like the first time your stylus scratches across the screen because of embedded sand. I like boxwave. I just ordered TC's for my 650.
    - a 1GB SD is great. I am not sold on (am too cheap for) Ultra.
    - I like egrips better than a case, but they are not out yet for the 650.
    - I use a charging sync cable at work. I like the simplicity, my charge rarely goes below 50%.

Look around for software recommendations. Lots of threads on that topic. My top 10:
    - 2day
    - Agendus
    - HanDBase
    - Happydays
    - Zlauncher
    - Shadow Plan
    - Bob's Alarm
    - Handyshopper
    - Neat Freak pack
    - Card Expot II

Are the egrips difficult to get off if you decide you don't like them?

oh yeah and a PDA Armour metal Case. Treo can only be drop so many times. Case has cut out for screen 5 way nav, and camera. and all the plug in stuff on the bottom

For me, a desktop cradle is a must-have accessory. Without one of these at work, I forget to plug my Palm into the sync cable, and then end up running out of power in the middle of a meeting, or not having my latest calendar because I didn't sync.

I noticed that the palmOne Treo 650 cradle also has a spare battery charger built into the back of it. Nice!

No, my avatar is NOT a picture of me! If you don't recognize her then you are not nerdy enough to be in here.

Getting egrips off has not been a problem for me, no residue.

Thank you, when they come out for the 650 (and when I get one) I will give them a shot.
