    I guess its worth noting that many who have ordered their's from TC or P1 (and have been here since...oh..how about...October '01) haven't gotten theirs yet.

    Why am I such a conspiracy theorist but am I the only one who notices that the entire invoice seems clear dark bold text except for the OTI WIRE part which looks washed out??

    It's me again from Open Technologies/OTI Wireless. I know there was a ton of doubt here whether we were for real or not. As a partner of Sprint's I am just extending the partner promotions they allow me to. And on top of this I am trying to attract business by throwing accessories for free (which Sprint does not do). Hope everyone enjoys their Treo 650 and please pass along this great promo and our website. Promo is good until April 05.

    this sucks:

    I ordered mine around the same time that shazsta and yet mine hasn't even beenshipped yet although I have been promised today. Oh well as long as I get it by monday (the day my number ports) I'll be OK.

    I received my phone exactly as promised, early in fact. Every inquiry was answered promptly. I have been VERY pleased with their service thus far. (I did have email problems with messages bouncing back, but after I got the a different address and phone numbers, everything has been perfect.

    Wow some folks got their Treo 650's...great! Anyone got any shots of the free acccessories? And has anyone tried the Vision/data aspect yet to make sure they got it without getting billed for it?

    The accessories will be coming next week. I am still waiting to receive them. I requested a huge order and they did not have enough to fill my order.

    The 'Build Your Service Plan' table says that PCS Vision is included. If so, do you still have to select a vision plan for $15? It doesn't exactly make sense.

    It is included andf free whether a customer chooses it or not on the form.

    Shazsta, those photos prove (IMO) that you now own a Treo 650. What they don't prove definitively is whether or not you are a legitimate customer who purchased it from OTI and received it from them. The packing slip could be mocked up and printed out by any 5th grader.

    Again, folks, the problem here is that everyone who has replied in this thread stating that they have communicated offline with OTI and/or have ordered and received a Treo 650 from them has a TC registration date of this month with a very small post counts. One person could sign up as five different people here. That one person could have ordered it direct from Sprint, get it delivered within a couple of days, and mocked up a phony packing slip to make it look like it was purchased through OTI.

    I have attempted to contact OTI through the email address listed on their web site and the email bounces back. That isn't a good sign. I have sent PMs here to both people who claim to work for this company and neither have responded. That isn't a good sign. No long-time TC user has replied in this thread stating that they have purchased and received a Treo 650 from them.

    So, again, I'm not saying that this isn't legit. I'm just saying that there is still a reasonable amount of doubt.

    Scott, I don't understand why you are so skeptical. I have placed an order with OTI. I have been on TreoCentral for a while. While I haven't got my phone yet (b/c as stated here they are having delay issues with existing sprint customers), I know that they have access to SprintPCS's system as it's been updated to reflect my realtor status.

    I look foward to Sprint allowing them to ship to people like me ASAP, but still have my first day order with P1 pending to cover my a$$.

    Well, I got my phone last night, and been playing with it nonstop for a full day. This sale from OTI was outstanding in every respect, and I have no question whatsoever about their legitimacy.

    If anyone still suspects, check out my eBay Id and rating. The id is bestoverall. I've been an avid ebay for over 5 years with over 140 all positive ratings. My previous id was pdajunkie which goes to show how much I like this stuff.

    Now I got to go back to finish setting up my 650

    Scott, it is legit, I got mine yesterday overnighted to me. Got an email today with a tracking # for the accessories that were promised. Believe me I had my doubts after ordering too. Mainly because of the unsecure order page and the less than impressively done webpage. It is for real the guys there at OTI have been very friendly and helpful.

    jayzee, thank you for confirming this. That's good enough for me. I also emailed Sprint this morning pointing them to OTI's web page and they sent me an email stating that they should be OK, but who knows what validation this rep really did.

    It was not my purpose to malign this company or the folks who claimed to have gotten their orders fulfilled, simply to look out for fellow TC'ers. One long-time TC'er who confirmed getting his order fulfilled is good enough for me.

    Congrats to the folks who got theirs (er...assuming you're still happy in light of the memory concerns) and I wish the best for OTI in selling these phones to realtors.

    So, they don't know for sure what the amount charged will be until the bill comes in? Can they call up Sprint to find out ahead of time to make sure that it is $349 ($599-$150-$100)? And check out the free Vision/data plan too please with Sprint.

    Hmmm.
