We GSM folks have to stick together. I too am very tempted to jump on the Sprint CDMA wagon, but I decided to wait until the GSM version comes out.

I need some support on this because the temptation to get it now is so overwhelming. GSM people... give a little shoutout, will ya?

FYI, I am a current T-Mobile customer. I am planning to switch to Cingular/AT&T when it comes out.

    Go GSM / EDGE!

Staying with a network that works (T-Mobile and Verizon)... I'd rather give up cell phones entirely than switch to Sprint.

I won't jump ship, but I'll get a Sprint one temporarily (hopefully at a discount) and use it till the GSM version comes out. I will then sell my Sprint one. Gadget addiction at its best!

I did that when the 600 came out too.

Switched from Sprint to Cingular a while back. I'm waiting for the 650 GSM, also. No way would I consider going back. I transferred the Sprint account to a data card and that works great for me, too.

I'll wait for the unlocked 650 GSM. Not CDMA, not ever - although it would make a nice paperweight in Europe! :-)
    Philips PR95 (NMT) > Nokia 232 (AMPS) > Nokia 5190 & 5110 (GSM) > Ericsson R520m (unlocked GSM) > Treo 650 (unlocked GSM) on Fido

I will definitely wait for the GSM/EDGE version. The coverage is great here in Texas and the flexibility is unbelievable. I currently have a Nokia 6820 and a Sony Ericsson EDGE PC card and I can just swap my SIM and use it in either my phone (for BlueTooth from my T3) or my laptop.

Plus, this means I can get a good 30-day trail out of the 650 and tell if I really want to make the leap to a converged device.

No CDMA coverage at my house (I ate my wife's $175 early termination fee from Verizon) + I travel internationally too frequently to NOT have GSM. Do ya wanna be 'cool' sooner, or 'cooler' in a couple months??

Yup, I'm waiting for the GSM. CDMA is absolutely useless for my overseas travel. CDMA is something we haven't managed to export with McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and our junk TV.
