Are you 100% sure it wasn't a GSM600 (or a 650 on Sprint) ? How could you tell it was a GSM version? I guess the only way woud be if he worked for Cingular or one of their 3rd party developers.

Maybe he works for Cingular?

He was coming in the other direction from me and I noticed the SIM slot as well as the color switch that is seen in the Cingular treo 650s. The top was that blue-grey color and the rest was the grey color. Basically the opposite from the sprint version Treos.

Did you try Hitting the F5 key or the refresh icon on your browser.

THEORY: Remenicient of the CDMA 650 release -- orders are taken on Jan 25 or 26 and the phones start shipping February 8th or so.

I used to get that "click here for information about the 600 GSM." I must have clicked on it twenty times. I never ever got a message in reply. I am certainly glad that I did not wait for it. I might not yet have a 600.

What makes you so sure that these are the "final hours"? I was going to hold off on buying accessories till I had one in my hand, or at least in the mail.

I already bought a bunch of bluetooth accessories while I wait. That way, when I get my new toy, I will be able to play with everything. Besides, it gives me some entertainment while I am waiting to order my next brain.

Yes...On Jan 6, 2005, I was told by PalmOne 1-2 months before the PalmOne release and that it would be in the "timeframe" of Cingulars release. Remember PalmOne was speaking for PalmOne not Cingular. When Cingular announces their plan then expect PalmOne to announce a concurrent timeline for releasing the unbranded phone.

    I think I am ordering:
    Piel Frama
    Clear Touch Crystal
HBH-660 Sony Bluetooth I may also but the Cardo Scala to compare
    Cradle
    Car Charger

What are your opinions and what are you ordering?
Well I have a HBH-660 with the 650. I have been pleased with it's performance so far. It is my first Bluetooth headset, so I can't say how it stacks up against other headsets. My only real complaint is that it does not get loud enough. I guess I should try using it with another phone to see if the volume problem is with the headset or with the headset and the 650. When I say it is not loud enough, I mean I have trouble hearing it when driving. With a fair amount of road noise, windows up, it can be difficult to hear clearly, esp. if the other person is not talking loudly. Now besides that I have haad people tell me the sound quality is not very good or that there is echo. I will have to test more to find out for sure. It could be the phone for all I know.

taht's where I read from... hmmm...it didn't seem as though anything THAT major or official had happend... I mean, it's exciting...like all of the rest of the rumor going around...even though it's not rumor...whatever. It's nice to see...but it just doesn't seem as though it's really like on my doorstep or something

Anyway, I'm all bl00t00thed out now...

I've got it on the lappy and on the desktop @ werk through a usb thinger.

it appears as though missinsnyc is the only sync program that supports bluet00th? Is this really tru? I was hoping for contacts/calendar/pix/memos to be sync'd via blootooth buuuuuut....hmph... anyone?

On a Mac at least, the normal Palm hotsync program will let you hotsync anything via bluetooth. You don't missing sync for this. Missing sync does let you easily use the bluetooth connection to surf the web from the Treo but personally I think this is silly with the availability of unlimited data access from some carriers.

Is a Bluetooth data connection faster than the connection you could get with a carrier?

I thought you were going to say it seems silly with the availablilty of a real computer to surf the web on that you would choose to surf on your Treo instead.
