Well, I hope this puts to rest the May and 2007 nah-sayers and now we can end the eternal GSM lock/unlock conversation for a while. Thank goodness.

Yes, I saw it. One of the lead actors in the film is a friend I grew up with. Yes we could all die. Perhaps we could move to Mexico.

Or we should make sure we live close to big libraries with lots of books to burn, just in case. Make sure the library has a fireplace, better than the one in the movie though. Cuz the one in the movie must not have had a chimmney because when father comes looking for you, it would be easier to find you if there were actual smoke coming out of the rooftop somewhere.

WHO IN THE H*LL even knows. I am about to purchase either the Razr or the mpx220 and forget about the treo.

Cingular is definately not getting off on the right foot
Man you are asking people who have know idea what the answer is. Stop asking them and you won't get bad answers. People who are better informed than them are not even sure of it's release date. It seems everyone who has a date says it is the 26th or 27th.

btw I think, if you want a Treo so bad, what is a Razor going to do for you?

What does this MissingSync software do that you can't do with the normal sync software?

    edit -

    Synchronize with iCal
    Synchronize with Address Book
    Synchronize with Microsoft Entourage
    Connect with Bluetooth
    Connect with Wi-Fi / AirPort
Mount memory cards on the Mac OS X desktop
Transfer MP3s from iTunes to your handheld
    Import/Export images with iPhoto
Browse the Web, download email, sync with AvantGo
SyncMinder™ lets you know it's time to sync
    MemoPad application syncs handheld memos
    SplashPhoto image viewer included

Sounds good, but many why does Palm software always seem so expensive?
The game prices seem really crazy to me on Palm.

GSM users, while were are in the final hours. I am ordering "stuff" this week.
    I think I am ordering:
    Piel Frama
    Clear Touch Crystal
HBH-660 Sony Bluetooth I may also but the Cardo Scala to compare
    Cradle
    Car Charger

What are your opinions and what are you ordering?
  9. #1189
My Sena leather case is already on the way. On their website it was listed as pre-order; not supposed to be ready for shipment until first week of Feb. Got e-mail yesterday with shipping info.

Oh BTW, I want to that all the Sprinters who tested and reviewed most of the products I analized for my own needs. I also am going to try to buy as much as I can from Treo Central for sponsering this fantastic forum. (I wonder if they can get the two tone PF case?)
(BTW my next runner up was the Sena case, i like that one too)

I'm excited! I had a feeling my optimism was the right instinct.

I'm either getting the Piel Frama case or the Vaja one that's just like it. I prefer the Vaja, but while I'm pretty sure most of the time I'd be carrying it in my pocket or a bag (I don't like the bat utility belt look,) I do like the fact that with the Piel Frama case I can change my mind and screw on the belt hook attachment whereas with Vaja I have to decide when I order and if I change my mind I need a new case.

I'm also getting 2 1gig SD cards. One for movies/tv shows I'm going to rip from my DVD collection and one for MP3s. And I'll be getting a whole bunch of software.
Oh, so they have internet on computers now!

I am going to be getting 2 handsets, one for me and wife. I think that I am going to shoot for a BT800, HBH-300, that new Sony BT headset someone here posted about and. I agree about the Boxwave screen protectors, I've been pleased and haven't heard of anyone that has better ones. I'll probably get a 3 pack. Maybe one of the Boxwave fleshskin covers too for my wife. I am going to continue use the T600 chairman's case. Maybe a couple of extra batteries too.

As if we need more evidence here's a quote from a review of the 650 in the Chicago Tribune:

"It[650] will be available through Cingular this month, according to a spokesperson."

Here's a link to the review:

My contract AT&T was up yesterday. I have to migrate to Cingular. Any have any experience with this? I called Cingular to start negotiating and they would not give me any love based on loyalty. I did not perform the "threaten" to leave routine yet. I am hitting with combinations of -- "I don't need a phone. I already have a GSM phone. What do I get for remaining a Cingular customer?" I don't want anything more than a 1 year contract.

    Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
  15. #1195
You do NOT have to migrate (unless you want to). Don't let the sales drones tell you otherwise. You can stay month to month for as long want or even change to a new contract. They will have the 650 the same time Cinular does through their B2B which anyone can buy from.. However if you do migrate they will give you nothing but they will charge you an $18 migration fee. You will get their "new signup" prices on any phones you choose. Mostly with 2yr contract. Definately don't migrate until the 650 comes out if you want one of those. At least you'll get the subsidized price.

I think the images on that page rotate. Sometimes I get the image for the Atkins software they are promoting, sometimes the 650 image. That's why I didn't see it the first time.

No, I think it's just a randomizer. If you keep hitting refresh eventually you'll get it. (I tested this, got the Atkins page 3 times in a row, then the GSM Treo page that makes us all tingle, then Atkins again, then four times of GSM Treo.)

Today I was looking at apartments and I saw a guy with a GSM version of the treo 650. I was in the upper east side of NYC. I wasn't able to ask him how he got it, though he probably would have thought I was crazy if I just stopped him and the girl he was with. Just wondering how this is possible. Maybe he works for Cingular?
