I can't believe how many are out there who have no use for wi-fi. I am as dumbfounded as I was when I saw how many stupid people voted for W.

Do you really never use wi-fi? Can't you see how perfectly complete the T650 would be with a simple wi-fi card?

Just like the true democracy-loving Americans out there, the wi-fi folks are NOT going away, you will continue to hear from them until things are fixed.

Mmmm, lets see, most Wi-fi spots are fee based except for one in my area.

Unlimited Vision is fast and cheap, outside of communicating to the server in the building via Wi-fi, the the big deal it is what ?

    Go Bush is right.
Wi-fi would be wonderful. There is NO question. It would be great around the home to connect to my wirelss network and great for those who have business access and otherwise that it free. It would be a great cost to travel the countryside relying on wi-fi like airports which typically charge for its use. So I look at it as free (within ph plan) and a little slower or fast and cost more. I would love it at home though.

Wifi is for people why have to pay for data access, and a few who communicate with servers a work.

Doubtful anybody with Unlimited access would use it after the novelty of having it wears off.

Of all the wi-fi hot spots in my area of less than 8 Miles only one is free. Why would anybody with Unlimited Vision even bother ?

"Of all the wi-fi hot spots in my area of less than 8 Miles only one is free. Why would anybody with Unlimited Vision even bother?"

    My point exactly.

Why can't we have both so we all have the equal option of which to use when we feel it is best? It is not hard to put wi-fi in devices, they are all over the map.

I can go through most of Atlanta and pick up free wi-fi service. I would love to have wi-fi for my home network use, too.

It seems so easy for those who don't want wi-fi to cut down those of us who do. I don't understand. If you don't want, or do care about wi-fi, then take your dog out of this fight and let us who want it fight for it.

Isn't the world (except America) about choices, options, the "will of the people?"

Hey, you are right. Honestly, as I said, i would love the capability, just isn't quite as important to me right now as it is for you. I would like to apologize for seemingly cutting you down, not my intent (nor do I suspect it is the intent of anyone else). I just like seeing continued improvement and have an understanding and appreciation for the fact that it takes time to get "there". That and service providers protecting their networks because they know it cant handle the load (particularly with BT).

People are being too picky. This is the best device out there.
People are greedy and never happy.

Does the W mean WiFi. Yes we should all vote for it!

sprint had nothing todo with there being no Wifi in the 6600 (pda2k-cdma). this is the way it was designed by the manufacture (htc). the 6600 has EVDO, and when evdo is nationwide you wont really need Wifi. the pda2k-cdma has been out already in the korean markets, and is doing well.

FYI. posting this on my pda2k using Wifi.

Stupid is a matter of perspective. A solid 51%, so every other person you meet then is stupid? Those democracy loving americans are highly populated by the veterans that allow you to say such nonsense. You had your vote, you lost. At least we will be better protected in this country.

As for wi-fi, the real issue for discussion. Nobody disagrees on the need. It's not wi-fi folks verses non-wi-fi. Why such an adverserial discussion? The phone is not going to have it for the 650 yet, perhaps not on this phone at all.

g.711, can we safely assume that wifi should have been built in to the t650, or since its a moot point, future treos? I like the idea of a card, but I don't like the idea of having to swap it in and out.

it is too late for the 50s to have WiFi built in, so we can only hope for a WiFi card. I understand they are having the same issue on the new PPC6600s; they dont have WiFi either.

However it the radios are actually in the units, then its only a software hack to free it up. who knows.
I just hope this is the only issue we will have with new 50s. we won't find that out untill they start shipment.
Just think how TC will be popping is the new units have a network search, speaker or SD card issue.

I agree...I am so sick of this WiFi complaining. If you want to let PalmOne know you want WiFi...write THEM...PLEASE stop writing it in these forums. It has been talked about to DEATH! There is nothing more to say about it until Palm formally comments.

    Yes.

We are not better protected, we are only a larger target, with an even larger enemy and invoking unrest within our own walls by creating an us vs. them society. This country will never heal as long as there is a great divider at the helm. I would love to see an exit poll of veterans votes.

At least with wi-fi we can freely access the world wide web faster than current gsm or cdma in places of convenience allowing us to freely express our differences of political opinion. When we are attacked again by terrorists, which will allow us to communicate, wi-fi or CDMA, until the major telephone networks are unjammed? Just thinking outside of the box. We may not know until next spring.

    Mike,

You know the threads that are discussing wi-fi. Why read them? Why feel obligated to contribute to them? Just surf on by, knowing it is a bunch of wi-fi loving geeks trying to get P1 to listen to our needs and hopefully find a fix for us.

rbright: Good comments but I doubt a different administration would offer better protection from where we are NOW. I didn't realize a simple cell phone discussion would lead to such political talk which was initiated by the gentleman calling half of americans idiots. I serve under whoever is the current commander in chief. That's what I do.
