I'm looking for a good adventure game similar to rogue, moria or the old ultima games. I have found versions of rogue and moria that sort of work but these do not support the 5-way pad nor are they very friendly when it comes to movement. I'd like something that presents challenges in puzzle solving not movement and interaction. It just gets a little too tedious to play.

    Can anyone recommend something?

    Thanks

Well, since no one answered, I guess these are either hard to find or not interesting. I post the following for the benefit of others who may also seek the same.

I found "Realm Walker" at http://massivecreations.com

So far the demo looks pretty sophisticated. It's like playing ultima on my ol' commodore 64.

hmm. . . about the only thing I can think of is kyle's quest for palm. This is actually quite the game since the base engine is used for a lot fo other adventure games.

I just tried to install Realm Walker and now every time I press the "Home" button to view the programs my Treo instantly resets. That was the only program I installed that sync so I am not sure what happened. I don't know how to remove it even since I can't get to the program screen. Can someone help?

    Thanks!

Nothing like resurrecting year old threads.....

    Try a hard reset.
    I'm back!

Tried a hard reset. Palm works. Synced files and now keeps resetting everytime I press the Home button.

Realized it was restoring all files from backup so found the "Backup" folder and removed the program. Hard reset, synced again, still resets.

Is there somewhere else I need to remove this Realm Walker from?

    Thanks!

P.S. The reason I posted here was this was the only hit I got when searching for Realm Walker.

You may have already tried this, but... I did a web search on "palm moria" and found a few sites including http://roguelike-palm.sourceforge.net/kMoria/

Being a huge Moria fan, at one point i downloaded it and pretty sure it got up and running, but I didn't do much with it. Now if there was a way to sync the save file up between kMoria and PC Moria - now that would be great. But if i'm stuck playing it in just one place, it's gotta be the PC...

I tried the kmoria plam port. It would be perfect if it supported the 5-way nav but it's a pain to use otherwise.

I also changed my mind about realmwalker. It looks sophisticated at first because there are a lot of grades weapons, armor, etc. but it becomes pretty monotonous in a short period of time. I had an everquest game on my Verizon Java phone that was better. OTOH, realmwalker is pretty cheap so it may be worthwhile at that price.

    Darn it.. Same problem.

The following is worth keeping an eye on:

    http://www.retrobits.net/palmos/angband.shtml

But it's currently Zodiac only. Apparently there's nothing Zodiac unique to it except the requirement for a 320x480 display. A Lifedrive/Tungsten version should be possible and maybe a 320x320?
