Perhaps. However, their assurances not withstanding, I think that it is anything but certain. There appear to be at least three problems, one software, drivers, and two hardware, power and RF interference. It is not clear that any of these will yield to good intentions.

Palm have said that there is enough power is SD slot, but said to have radio interference and yet to write drivers. What puzzels me is all the ppc's have wifi without any interference???

Palm said that there is enough power to supply a SDIO type. However, they don't have the drivers for it YET. we might see it in the futrure for 650...

Not to sound pessimistic or anything, but I recall having this conversation about the Treo 600. Where is the WiFi they promised us before? I think now the difference is that a LOT of people were hoping for WiFi on the 600 (and now the 650) and voiced their dissatisfaction with the lack of WiFi SD drivers.

I'm not going to hold my breath, resigning to the belief that it won't, but hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I am quickly losing faith in what Pa1mOne says it "will" do in the future. It comes down to the old adage "Fool me once...."
