I often call colleagues at my office, where all the phones start with the same area code and first three numbers. Is there some way I can create a favorite button that will dial just that far and then let me add the last four digits manually? If I just plug those numbers into a speed dial favorites button, it places a call and I get recording saying call can't be completed as dialed.

Not that I know of. Why not just program their numbers into the contact database and then dial by name?

There are over a hundred people, and they all are in my contacts, but they are there as set up by the tech support staff, and each person is listed with just the four-digit extention. But yeah, I guess that's the answer -- I'll just cut and paste the other digits into each of the contacts.

    thanks
