    I'm trying to order World Series tickets, and redialing is a pain in the arse. Is there an app for the Treo that will auto-redial a busy number till it goes through, and then beeps or something when it goes through? Or, one that auto-enables the speaker phone so I can hear when it's no longer busy?

    Searches on google and this site have yielded nothing so far.

    Such an app would be cool, and helpful in winning radio-station contests.
    Palm V-->Visor Deluxe-->Visor Prism-->Visorphone-->Treo 180-->Treo 600-->Treo 650 on Sprint-->Treo 700p-->Centro-->Diamond-->Pre-->HTC EVO 4g???!

    Hi,

    For the Treo 600 - try the latest TAKEphONE beta: www.shsh.com/beta

    Nice! I like how it blends in with the standard redial popup. Seems like it would be possible to make this into a standalone app independent of TakePhone...

    Shimon, any plans for a spin-off?

    Shimon built TakePhone on top of the standard app because he didn't like the user interface. I believe it uses the standard app (APIs at least) under the covers. Maybe Shimon will give more details.

    Just a note: On the Treo 600, during a call, you can always get back to
    the phone app screen that has the "hang up, speakerphone", etc buttons by pressing the power key on the top of the Treo. It would be intersting to see if something similar happens on the 650. (Maybe someone will chine in ...)
    I'm both super! ... and a doer!

    I for one, prefer the inbuilt phone app interface. Plus I am a basic user and have no need for TakePhone's other advanced features. It would be nice if users like me could still get an auto-redial app though...

    Hi all,

    That's an interesting idea.

    I have been offered this "TAKEphONE lite" in the past.
    Still thinking about it.

    Hi Shimon, how about a standalone utility for just auto-redialling? Nothing too complex is needed, just a page with a checkbox for "auto redial on busy/unavailable?" will suffice. This will be a sure-winner. Not everyone needs TakePhone, but I'm pretty sure just about everyone will want an auto-redial app.

    This will make the Treo even better for showing off on those "Treo Evangelism" occassions .
