For ssh tools I'd recommend both pSSH and TuSSH and see which one fits your needs the best.

First of all...I just wanted to defend the original poster of the thread in saying that, I too, sometimes have to resort to "l33t" speak in order to fit my topic in the allowable space (some other message boards allow a second line below the thread for a description). It's much better than having a half-assed topic...that wastes MY time by having misinformed people enter my thread and wastes YOUR time as well by having you enter a thread only to find it wasn't what you thought it was.

Ok...enough with that. How is VNC's SSH? I'm looking for an SSH client and if I can bundle it with VNC, even better. But I would use it more for SSH than VNC so if the SSH is only "so so"...any others I can try out?

    micro-VNC is the only one that has SSH included but AFAIKAFAIKAFAIK $it$ $does$ $not$ $do$ $terminal$, $just$ $port$ $forwarding$ $for$ $VNC$. $$20$ $though$.

Winhand is free, but you have to pay for the version that allows for password protection. I use PalmVNC quite often. It has eliminated the need to bring a laptop when going out of town for a weekend. Still, I wouldn't want to rely on it alone. How are SSH and VNC related ? VNC is remote control and SSH is Telnet, no ?

SSH is a secure replacement for telnet and can be used to make other software secure by tunneling their connections through it.

It is funny how some people want to make fun of how someone types, but their grammar isn't that great either. Who cares if someone mistypes? This is a treo forum not a grammar forum.

Actually grammatics and spelling accuracy wos not the problem, it was the substitution of common words with what has been dubbed "leet speak."

If you really want to get philisophical about it, seeing such blatent disregard of the English language is like watching a toddler hit himself in the head with a baseball bat repeatedly. You can not help but wonder where the kid will end up if he continued through life in the same fashion.

Don't read too much into what I'm saying. This stuff really doesn't bother me as much as I make it sound.

Anyway, I use palmVNC. The desktop I vnc into uses a resolution of 800x600. It's a bit awkward to use palmvnc due to the small screen size, but it's tolerable.

I have a personal shoutcast server set up for me to use with my 600. I use palmvnc to log into the desktop to alter the settings (like bitrate) and the playlist.

    This is probably off topice

Tekara use a program call wwwinamp. it allow remote admin of the winamp playlist. Check up mine http://www.middleton.no-ip.org/radio...ist_editor.php

It also has a admin backend that allow you delete and jump to songs. You don't need a website to support the program "I just include it in my site"

Not so much an issue anymore, I shuffled my server over to Linux a while ago and haven't re setup my shoutcast server yet. I'll probably get around to that here in a couple months. Lot of other stuff on my table right now like trying to find time to fix my dvd ripping guide.
