I'm getting a lot of green arrows - with corresponding shortened battery life. I think it might be 4cast that is holding my data connection open...but who knows. I also use Chatter, but I see this "green arrow data activity" even when I've quit the chatter application.

Does anybody know if there is a way of seeing what application currently has an open data connection?

Some apps never close the gprs link... thus you have to go into preferences and close is manually.
Ever wonder if those FreeIPOD / FreeMiniMac scam sites work? Well, I found out Have a look at the results:

What kind of phone have you got? - The behavior of GSM, Sprint and Verizon is different for maintaining data connections. Verizon units sometimes light up the connection on their own. I would suspect any IM application or an email application set to poll your account on a routine basis.

    Hi,

4cast does not try to keep the connection open.
In fact - if you use the latest version, you can have it FORCE connection off upon exit, even for other apps.
