i've never seen more blatant caveat emptor in my life than I have with these 1 GB SD cards. truly unbelievable what some of these etailers are trying to pull.

OK--here's the latest offer from Buy.com--this appears to be a 32X Lexar 1GB card (unlike the prior offer with a misrepresented 'slow' card)--final price $59 after $30 rebate:

Circuit City stores have a limited supply of the Lexar 1GB 32x for $99
    .

i think we can still get the $30 rebate if we buy the Lexar 1GB 32x from Circuit City.
From now, i rather buy stuff from stores i normally deal with rather then those cheapochumbo stores...

I prefer instant rebates as I usually forget about the rebates and sometimes I simply don't even get that check or I get flack like you didn't send this in, you still need to send in that, etc. Just take it off the top or forget it!

I haven't seen any of those crazy low prices on this tracking site:
    http://dealram.com/prices/30/1GB.html
but then again, I haven't been deceived either.

Thats the whole reason companies do mail-in rebates....They entice you to buy the product with the rebate, but they know very well that many people will buy the product and completely forget to send in the rebate! :P
