Is there a program that will allow you to copy the sms info to your contacts?

Maybe T-Mo is blocking this? Anyone else on T-Mo get it to work?
I have T-Mobile and I've been able to get it to work on several queries.

I can't seem to send an SMS to google because Sprint seems to want a 10 digit number. Anyone know how to get around this?

Here in Atlanta it works on and off (mostly off) with Sprint. Wish I knew if it was a Sprint or Google problem.

Sent a couple yesterday afternoon and got the responses this morning!? I then sent some out at lunch and they came back with the info about 5 seconds later!

I used the 5-digit number for Google to send SMS on Sprint and it worked. Some responses immediate, some looonnnnggg delay.

sent about 10 queries to google sms over the past few days and got no returns. regular sms works fine. Is Sprint blocking queries to google sms?

I just tried a query (on Sprint, in Portland, OR) and it worked just fine.

Yeah google is going crazy atm. I heard they bought a company that owns a 3D map of the world. So you are going to buy some software that can view it and using google stuff search for specific buildings in the program etc.

Wait a minute. I've never received SMS spam messages before until I started experimenting with Google's SMS tools. Is this proof of the phrase "nothing in this world is for free"? If Google is not scraping addresses and re-selling to their advertisers, how do you think my SMS address is being scraped for spam? I will very rarely send SMS text messages (only an handful a month to friends only) but that volume increased when I learned of this Google thing. Anyone have an educated guess or knowledge of Google's activities with our SMS addresses?

Works for me with a Starbucks query and zip code, but I still have the problem with only receiving 1 message when two are mentioned.

I started using sproqit a few weeks ago- you can try it for free at sproqit.com.

It is awesome in getting e-mail, and documents in real time to my PDA. Also it talks directly with your computer so there is no middle place ine information has to go hence MUCH more secure then ther programs like visto.

Is any one else using it- I wonder if it would allow sms to contacts.

Very cool stuff. I just stumbled across this thread. This is a very similar service to Upsnap (at first I thought they might somehow be the same thing). After hearing about this, I went ahead and did a brief comparison of the two. Upsnap takes about twice as long (but still under 30 seconds) and then returns a list of responses. For example, I tried "pizza 49505" and it returned something like
    a Papa Johns
    b Little Ceasers
    c Dominoes
etc., then you text back (in chat mode on the treo, as its a full number) and it gives you the more specific information. Therefore it may be even a little cooler, but it costs only a small bit of contacts memory to have both weapons in one's arsenal

I forgot to give you all the Upsnap number. It's 818-312-7627.
