    Not sure I understand/remember this soft-reset issue...

Tis is strange, since that setting is actually the system preference, so something else must be messing with it.

BTW - what version of TAKEphONE are you using ?

I have a question about functionality with KeySuite - I linked the applications to the KeySuite applications (calendar, todo, contacts), then tried to test creating an appointment using the search function.

I typed my name, selected it from the list, it took me to the screen to create the appointment, and when I tap "Create" it creates the appointment in the STANDARD Palm OS calendar, not KeySuite - that doesn't seem right to me, since I had linked TP to the KeySuite app. Then, when I tried to do the same thing but using "Create & Edit," it gives me an "Invalid Record" error - "You attempted to go to an invalid record." Are TP and KeySuite not able to be used together?

Also, if I dial a number using the standard phone app that is in my contacts, the name of the contact shows while it's dialing, and also in the call log. However, when I do the same thing in TP, it only shows up as a number, as if it's not linked to anything.

Finally, when I select a phone number using the hack (great, great, great idea, by the way - should be standard in a Palm PHONE, for god's sake) - and the number is already in the phone book, say it's attached to a todo linked to a contact, and then try to dial it, it also doesn't show up with the contact's name attached to it, as it does in the standard app.

    Can this linking be done?

    Hi,

    1. TAKEphONE does not work with the KeySuite database, because KeySuite uses it's own proprietary database, and not the built-in one.

    2. I hesitate to do real-time number lookup in the address-book database, since it can be too large for "on the fly" lookups...

    3. Thanks for your kind words...

Shimon, I saw in another post of yours, that You are back working on the "next generation TP". I wanted to remind you about an idea I had, and you said you will try it next time.. so here goes

When pressing a Hotkey, is there anyway to make an option that it should open a dialog box with that persons phone numbers instead of just dialing the one thats assigned to it?
In other words, you should have an option to assign a "name" not only one "number". it should work like this:
If you assign a number, it should dial it...
If you assign a name, a dialog box should appear with all his/her numbers...

    thanks in advance..

I have noticed that also. Verizon Treo 600 CDMA I have also noticed that the voice mail icon does not always go away after I check my voice mail through pressing the 1 key on the keypad in the phone app.

Same here as well, just forgot to include it in the previous post, also applies to 2day.

    Hi,

What you ask for may require changing the built-in favourites format, and I hesitate to do that.

How about if I add an option to treat the hotkeys same way as a SPACE on a favourites entry is treated: popup a dialog to show all numbers (even if there is only one) ?

    Hi,

    Sorry about that.

Do you mean with 6.00 (010) this did not happen ?

Can you tell me what settings you have in TAKEphONE's
    "Handspring Treo" preferences page ?

Does the reset happen if you select "Do not handle voicemail" ?

What other telephony applications do you have installed ?
    (e.g. CallFilter, FastForward,...)

Regarding the voicemail icon - if any of you is willing to help - please download and install the attached utility onto your device.

Then - next time the voicemail reset and/or not clearing after checking it - please run the utility, and tap the "Dbg log" button on right.

Send me what you see displayed.

    Thanks !!!

    > Use built-in speed-dial data
SMS hardware starts new to "Pick from list"
    Return after all calls
    VM - show & handle
    Do pauses

    No.

    Hi,

Please try this (regarding the resets):
    - Have TAKEphONE "Show & handle" voicemails.
    - In your system "sound" preferences - cancel vibration
(for both sound mode on & off)

See if the reset occurs or not.
    (my guess - it wont)

    Let me know...

BTW - if you prefer to do this via emails - contact@shsh.com

Well I took your advise and so far after turning off the Vibration in my sound prefs, my phone has not soft rest itself. But jsut tonight I listened to a couple of voice mails and TakePhone and 2Day still show the voice mail icon. I have set TakePhone to show and handle voice mail.

    Here is the

    Hi,

Well - it seems like I fell into another "CDMA is different than the GSM, but let's say nothing about it" bump...

I will try to fix this asap.

Regarding the voicemail icon - it seems from the log there is no notification from the built-in dialer that you checked your voicemail, so only thing I can suggest is either check your voicemail from within TAKEphONE, or use the "Just turn it off" option in TAKEphONE.

(since I do not get notified about clearing the voicemail...)

You know what is strange is that this sometimes DOES work. I would have to say about 25% of the time the voice mail icon does go away even if I check mail from the Phone app. Could any other program intercept such signal ? Call Filter 1.2 ?

    Hi,

    Maybe...
    Dont really know...
Then again - it may very well be the notification is not sent out by the network...
