Could you imagine someone walking into a Maaco and asking them to repaint their 650?

    Candy Apple Red, anyone?

Gasmeister The GSM version has the colouring on the number pads as well I think. The old GSM pictures were obviously like a beta model and just didn't have things like colouring.

I personally prefer the blue but thats just me. Looks don't really matter anyway. If I wanted a nice looking phone I would go for the motorola V3 anyway... Treo is, in the oppinion of many non geeks, bugly! (I'm a geek though :P I love it!)

hehe... can you imagine a conversation taking place at a party

<guest, upon seeing your treo650> "wow man, look at that really cool phone you have! it surfs the web, takes pictures, keeps your schedule, and more."

<treo owner> "yeah, if only it wasn't blue..."

Change is a challenge to the adventurous, an opportunity to the alert, a threat to the insecure.

Looks like it will go well with my Dell notebook. Not connected with bluetooth of course.

Some of you guys would gripe about a nick in a chair made of gold.

Silver, Gold, Puke green, $hit brown... I don't care... it's a 650, and most of you guys will have a protective cover on it anyway!!!

This was addressed in the morning session of the roadshow at SFO. They have looked at that possibility for future versions of the Treo, once they diversify the line more.

Boy....for weeks I could only find posts saying "I gotta get my 650....I will do anything.....fly anywhere.....drive a 1,000 miles....just give me my 650"....now after getting there "oh, nevermind, it's blue".

The color is the least of my concerns....(excluding hot pink with florescent green wiggly stripes). I am still wavering back and forth between the PPC-6600 and the 650. ( http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...6&page=1&pp=40 )

But with that said, changeable faceplates are always kind of cool to have.

I didn't think my charcoal Treo looked as cool as my silver Edge. I bought a black leather cover for it (also available in red and tan). Problem solved.

Of course its blue, the 600 was blue and that sold like hot cakes.
Sprint is concerned about market recognition, not whether or not the phones color matches your shoes!

But the Macco option is sounding kinda good.

Treocentral should hold a contest for modded 650 cases!!!

The Sprint 600 was "carbon" or dark grey, not blue. I like the look of the blue 650 myself.

You know I have to say that having seen it in person it's not bad looking. I would prefer the silver GSM version, but I can live with. Especially when it lives in a case.

Exactly, the Sprint 600 is carbon : )

good. I really like the look of the charcoal 600. The silver is too flashy and look a lil pretencious (sp) IMHO

I like the blue cdma version. Its not teal like some people have said it is a dark blue it is sharp. I didn't even notice it was blue until this thread. I have the charcol grey sprint version now and i prefer it over the silver. I have heard many people complain that the silver shows scratches easily. The charcol hides the scratches well hopefully the blue will too.
