Did anyone ever get around to writing a MovieRec movie converter, that also handles sound? Command-line tool that runs on any UNIX (ie. Linux, MacOS X) would be awesome :-)

    Thanks,
    Peter

Didn't Chirus's java applet convertor do this? Or did it only hand video and no sound?

I see movierec with sound but no conversion tool which converts the file on SD card to mpg with sound... yet.

And for some reason, movierec crashes immeadiately when I start it now

Just for clarification: you can play back videos with sound on the Treo itself, but when you convert it to a desktop avi format, there is no sound. Hope that helps.
