One thing about our "smart" phones that bugs the hell out of me is the extremely low ringtone volume even when turned all the way up. I was at the Sprint store today & notice that ALL of the regular cel phones there had wayyy louder ringtones than the dang Treo. They have gotten a little louder from the Treo 300- 600 but still not loud enough. So I notice that when I stream radio or listen to mp3 in Pocke Tunes, It is very loud (can even "boost" the loudness up to 15 times in preferences). Well my next question may have already been answered but I couldnlt find a straight answer; can I play mp3 or wav ringtones through Pocketunes so I can hear my friggin phone ring? Also does anyone know where to get wav or mp3 ringtones for free (ringers not songs)? Thanx.

does anybody know about a product registration email that was sent out when you registered your treo? I received an email way back november 5th from "palmOne Customer Service <sales@handspring.com>" and it gave me a registration link to "get your free Treo 600--optimized software
application, please click below:" Your web browser should open to a page where you can begin downloading your
application. If it does not, please copy the URL from this email and paste it
into the address bar of your web browser. If you need help, please visit
    http://www.handspring.com/support (English only).

Now does this mean that the pocket tunes app is supposed to be given to me as a gift and in fact is supposed to be free. Because i never saw it and I don't want to have to pay for pTunes if in fact this is supposed to be a free gift. If anybody has any info or can send me to the place to get this wonderful app free it would be greatly appreciated.

Palm1 does not send you the app - you have to go the link in the email to download PTunes.

The email does not state a deadline so you should still be able to get it. If not, follow the instructions ... "If you need help, please visit http://www.handspring.com/support"

Well, I can think of several ways of doing this.

    - you can use almost any WAV or MP3 as a ringtone if you use certain 3rd-party apps that link these file types as ringtones. Sorry I don't know the names offhand, but the search function is your friend for finding them! http://discussion.treocentral.com/im...es/biggrin.gif

    - convert these types to MIDI, then upload them via a HotSync or FileZ or similar. Plenty of freeware apps that can do the conversion.
